More than half of B2B marketing teams have frozen spending on Facebook ads

Has the cost of living crisis hobbled the market for social media advertising? Maybe, says a new report by Dreamdata. The research says the worsening economic climate has put “marketing budgets on the chopping block”. In the study of 222 active Dreamdata users, 54 per cent said they have stopped active spending on Facebook ads, 42 percent have paused spending on LinkedIn ads, and 16 percent have even withdrawn spend on Google ads. Yet the report argues that there could be an upside. It says the lower […]

Representational Image The Delhi high court has permanently restrained the owner of a confectionary under the name ‘Facebake‘ from using any mark which is deceptively similar to that of social media company Meta Platforms, Inc’s ‘Facebook‘ mark. Justice Navin Chawla, while dealing with a lawsuit by Meta, said that ‘Facebook’ is a well-known trademark in the country and the overall visual representation adopted by the defendant, Noufel Malol – the owner of Facebake, depicted the mala fide intent in obtaining unfair advantage. The judge noted that the […]

5 Pro Tips To Improve Your B2B LinkedIn Marketing Campaigns

When it comes to B2B marketing, LinkedIn is the place to be. And with good reason. One of the things that I love about social media marketing is that the barrier to entry is relatively low. Launching your first campaign on a platform like LinkedIn doesn’t require an advanced degree or 10+ years of experience. In […]

Paul Jauregui first appeared on this podcast in September 2020. He and Lisa, his wife, had launched BK Beauty, a direct-to-consumer cosmetics brand, the year before to great success. Since then, many DTC brands have suffered due to iOS 14.5’s impact on Facebook advertising. But not BK Beauty. Jauregui “pulled the plug” on Facebook ads in late April 2021, just before the iOS release. He told me, “There was a lot of dust that needed to settle with Facebook ads, a lot of questions. I wanted to […]
